Back home it isn't a health drink and it isn't a trend. It's what you pour when someone walks through your door. Weddings, Ramadan, a hot afternoon in the street. There's always a jug of it going.
We started making it here because we couldn't find it the way we remembered it. So we make it ourselves and bottle it in our own kitchen.

Karkade Kitchen came out of the same thing. Once people tried the drink they wanted to know what we eat with it. Now the Kitchen caters club days, events and family gatherings, and our frozen goods are on the store. Halal, always.
